Every board is an MCP server

Add /mcp to the end of a board's address and hand it to your coding agent. There is nothing to install. The agent reads every comment with the selector and surrounding markup of the element it points at, which is what it needs to find the thing you meant.

For Claude Code it is one command, and the board's Share dialog has it ready to copy under Connect an agent.

Improvements

  • A project's address works the same way and reaches every page in it. Each annotation says which page it is on.
  • Agents can propose an exact text edit that the person who asked can accept from the board.
  • Agents answer replies left for them in a thread.
  • Agent replies appear on the board live, as anyone else's would.

A Feedback button for your own site

Paste one script tag on your site and every page gets a Feedback button in the corner. Clicking it opens the board over the page the visitor is on, so their comments arrive pinned to what they were looking at.

The Share dialog of any board or project anyone with the link can open gives you the snippet to copy.

Improvements

  • The button can save the page from the visitor's own browser when the board needs a copy of it.
  • Put the button on the left with data-position="bottom-left" on the script tag.
  • A comment can carry a recorded video note.
  • A status board lays out a page's requests by where they stand.

Slack, and boards on your own domain

Connect a Slack workspace from your team's settings and pick a channel. Each new request arrives there as a message with a button to resolve it. Replies travel both ways through that message's thread, and the message shows when the request is done.

Teams can also open their boards at an address of their own, such as feedback.your-university.edu. Add one CNAME record and the certificate is issued for you.

Improvements

  • Board links pasted in Slack unfold into a preview with a picture of the board.
  • Copies of a page keep their video frames and embedded content.
  • A project's other pages are captured after the first one, once you agree to it.

Fixes

  • Link previews are on from the start for new Slack installs.
  • Page captures finish instead of hanging, and land in view.
  • Clicking the team name opens the team's page.

Capture pages behind a sign-in

The Chrome extension captures a page as you see it in your own browser and puts it on a board. Staging sites and intranet pages work, and so does anything on localhost.

A page saved this way is private from the start. Only your team and the people you invite can open its board, and every open is logged on the team's Private pages page.

Improvements

  • A board that cannot load its page offers to capture it with the extension, from a bar in the page's own tab.
  • A link that carries a Basic auth login opens the page behind it.
  • The board links straight to the extension's store listing.

Jira, Shortcut and Basecamp

A request on a board can now become a ticket in the tool your team already uses. Connect Jira, Shortcut or Basecamp from your team's settings, one at a time, and send requests from the board's comments panel.

The ticket keeps a link back to the page it came from. Its status stays in step with the request in both directions, so closing it in your tool resolves it on the board.

Improvements

  • Tick requests in the comments panel and send them to your team's tool together.
  • Basecamp requests can land in a card table column or a to-do list.
  • Each board can get a Basecamp to-do list of its own, named after its page.
  • An admin can send one project's or board's requests somewhere else in Basecamp.
  • Have every new request become a ticket on its own.

Fixes

  • A Jira site has to be an atlassian.net address before anything is fetched from it.
  • Editing a Jira connection keeps the fields you leave alone.
  • The team page says which tool is connected, and names it on Disconnect.

Replies on every annotation

Every annotation now has a thread, so a highlight or an inspected element can be discussed as easily as a comment. Type @ to pick someone to mention from a list.

People can choose to get an email about replies and mentions.

Improvements

  • Edit your own comment from its card.
  • Tap or click an annotation to open its thread on the page.
  • Pinch zooms the board on a phone and leaves the toolbar where it was.
  • Requesters get an email when their request changes status.
  • A team's logo and colour show on its boards.

Fixes

  • Two fingers pan and zoom while a drawing tool is active on a phone.
  • The annotation layer no longer blinks while you draw on a phone.
  • A pinch can zoom out to the page fitted to the screen.
